Accommodations

It is very important to rent your cottage as early as possible as it gets vey busy in the summer season well in advance.  There are very limited hotel options that are not near the Park.  Cottage rentals are typically Sunday to Sunday and vary in reasonable prices.  You may be able to rent for shorter than one week.

Guests are highly encouraged to work with other guests to stay in cottages inside the park.

Travel Information

Thousand Island Park is 450 miles (7 1/2 hours) from Pittsburgh, PA, 350 miles (6 hours) from New York City, NY, 475 miles (8 hours) from Washington D.C., 375 miles (7 hours) from Boston, MA, and 90 miles (1 1/2 hours) from Syracuse, NY.
Syracuse International Airport is the closest major airport and served by all major airlines and rental car companies.
The Watertown International Airport is 30 miles from Thousand Island Park, and it has limited service to Chicago on American Airlines for guests coming from the West.  There is limited rental car availability and advance reservations are required.
From either Syracuse or Watertown, take interstate 81 north to exit 51.  Make a right at the end of the ramp, then your next right.  Drive until you enter the park.
The north end of the Island is 150 feet from the Canadian border.  Please keep in mind the proximity to Canada and bring your passport.  Also, please turn off data roaming on your cellular phones as it is common to pick up Canadian wireless providers while in New York and for guests to have large, surprise bills following time in the region.
