Ladies and Gentlemen,

May we introduce the Grooms' Parties:

J.J.'s attendants
  • Ben Bartolone, Groomsman
Ben Bartolone is JJ's cousin / former roommate and Dave's former camp counselor-- go ahead and try to figure that one out. Hailing from New York City, he spends his days writing, producing, and performing for almost all mediums of entertainment. Can't wait for the wedding!
  • Patrick Cauley, Groomsman
Pat and JJ met at Sacred Heart Elementary School, commonly known by its acronym SHES. SHES was an appropriate name for JJ and Pat's childhood institution as there was only one male teacher in the entire building. While educational topics such as the Civil War were quickly breezed by in week's time (much to JJ and Pat's chagrin when they both attended college in the Deep South where it was an obvious focal point for those local students), it was actually through extracurricular activities like school plays (shocker) and high-profile positions within the SHES Student Council that JJ (Treasurer) and Pat (President, duh) forged a friendship. Today, Pat resides in Los Angeles near JJ and Dave. It's been rumored that all three of them have become so "L.A.," but they manage to keep each other in line n'at and never forget where they came from.
  • J.P. Coakley, Groomsman
JP Coakley met JJ buzzing around Calvary Camp in the mid nineties and the two quickly realized they had more in common than having an acronym for a first name. After spending many Winters terrorizing the family dog Molly, and hundreds of nights seated at the dinner table, JP was eventually knighted as an honorary member of the Shepherd Family. Upon the conclusion of a bachelor's education 927 miles from JJ's alma mater, JP rose up through the Family hierarchy, was eventually granted the territories of Western Pennsylvania by Team Shepherd and swiftly moved to Pittsburgh to lay the groundwork in preparation for the future return of its hive. JJ and JP are fluent in their own language, communicate telepathically, are immune to human disease, and will probably to live to be 210 years old.
  • Shane Glass, Groomsman
Shane and JJ first met at Tulane University, where they bonded over a mutual love of New Orleans culture, live music, and 24/7 $1 drinks. Both members of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, JJ taught Shane all about fiscally responsible pizza delivery. JJ was also an occasional contributing writer to the school entertainment magazine that Shane ran, The Arcade (that is, when JJ could find the time to author such articles during an intense but life-consuming love of learning at a world-renowned educational institution like Tulane). Originally from New Orleans via San Francisco, Shane now resides in New York City, much to the chagrin of the Shepherd-Reynolds household. But through Dave and JJ, Shane is an honorary resident of Southern California, that is until his pesky career goals stop getting in the way of an official move West. Also commonly referred to as "Unca Shane" by JJ and Dave's first-born angel, Harley.
  • Robyn E. Shepherd, Groomsman
Robyn Elizabeth Shepherd is J.J.'s older sister. She lives in Westport, CT with her husband Big Al, and their lovely cats Puppy and Davie Jones. She is consistently known for making, and urging those around her to make, nothing but the better of choices. She attended Brown University after a successful high school career at Oakland Catholic, where it is rumored a building is to be named after her. Her legend precedes her. The way lightning precedes thunder. But in all seriousness, she is thrilled to be a part of Dave and JJ's wedding party, to spend some quality time with their families and friends, and to have the time in the Thousand Islands!
  • Megan E. Shepherd, Groomsman
The eldest of the three Shepherd children, Megan Elizabeth Shepherd lives and works in South Bend, Indiana. After attaining her Master's of Divinity from Notre Dame University, Megan lived and worked in Chicago, IL for many years before returning to Sough Bend where she is now the Assistant Director for Notre Dame Vision. Megan enjoys attending Steelers games with the happy couple, and shares Dave and JJ's appreciation for clever, yet tasteful Steelers outfits for dogs. Megan looks forward to a great, fun and safe wedding weekend.
  • Kate Hoy, Groomsman
Kate and JJ go way back. Like, St. Andrew's nursery school, Marcus Pharmacy, Sacred Heart, Pittsburgh marathon party, Calvary Camp, The Embassy, Nightmare on Meserole St., Snow White; You Nightmare kinda back. From Highland Park to Greenpoint, Conneaut to Boston, and literally everywhere in between, these two have been the cheese to each other's macaroni. An Ellis alumna, Kate has lived in and represented Brooklyn since attaining her Bachelor's degree from Bryn Mawr College. She is a great friend to the happy couple, and cannot wait for the wedding weekend.
  • Miranda Thompson, Groomsman
Miranda met JJ in the summer of 2000 while working on the staff of Sheldon Calvary Camp. They fast became friends, bonding over a shared love of sarcasm, pranking and general mischief. Their friendship was cemented when Miranda visited JJ while he was studying at Tulane in New Orleans. Their shenanigans on that trip brought shock to the faces of even the most seasoned Burbon Street patrons. Miranda later met Dave when he joined the staff of Calvary Camp. Dave filled the mischievous void left by JJ's departure from the staff, they too fast became friends. At that time she had an inclining of the amazing things and good times that would occur if JJ and Dave ever became good friends, as they were the two most fun people in her life. To her delight, and due to her STRONG suggestion, she was elated when the two started dating. In recent years Miranda has had 'the time' causing trouble with these two all over the country and getting to know their friends and family. She is thrilled to be part of this wedding, and to share it with everyone involved. Originally from Greensburg, PA, Miranda attended Denison University, and now lives and works in Alexandria, VA where she works at the boarding school she attended in the Alumni and Development Office. One day soon she hopes to move to Pittsburgh, and hopes everyone else will too!
Dave's attendants
  • Sam B. Bartolone, Groomsman
Sam is JJ's cousin and has been friends with Dave since they were 17 and the only two men hired as staff-in-training at their beloved Calvary Camp. Sam and his longtime girlfriend Ali Trachta, a reader in the wedding, live in Los Angeles but look forward to calling Pittsburgh home again some day. Sam ensures your televised justice system is entertaining and ethically run, and when he is not with Joe or Judy, you can find him on the dodgeball court.
  • Jay Bridges, Groomsman
White male, 31 years old, ruggedly handsome and socially awkward. Jay was born, raised and educated in Los Angeles. He went to college at UC Santa Barbara and fell in love with coastal living. He now lives in Santa Monica and claims approximately 75% responsibility for Dave and JJ's move into the neighborhood. Jay works in residential finance for Metlife Home Loans (email him to refinance, rates are great! JBridges@metlife.com). He loves wine, sports, friends, family and food, and especially instances when several of those factors are mixed together. When asked about the wedding, Jay had this to say: "Dave and JJ are two of my closest friends and can't wait to celebrate it their nuptials with those who inspired, educated, shaped and raised these cultural icons."
  • Danielle M. Chalfant, Groomsman
Danielle is a Pittsburgh native who shares a deep love of the black and gold with Dave and JJ. Despite this she too has departed the City of Steel and now resides in Boulder, Colorado. Mountains, big blue skies, fantastic skiing and more days of sunshine than the ‘Burgh could ever even think about suit her well. Danielle and Dave first met when he attended Winchester Thurston High School for about four days in the fall of 2001. From this moment there was no turning back! Sharing an extremely goofy sense of humor and a knack for seeking out the outrageous, they always have amazing and comical times wherever their adventures take them. It should be noted that Danielle and Dave have both amazing and similar tastes. They both have adorable “beagle hybrids“ as pets, and both snagged handsome, Central Catholic boys from the class of 2000 who rowed crew together. It’s pretty awesome. Oddly enough Danielle has never made it up to TI Park and is extremely excited to finally make the trek as well as be part of such an amazing celebration!
  • Ndidi Okobi, Groomsman
Didi and Dave were fast friends when they met at Calvary Camp in the summer of 2002. Visits to the Reynolds household became a staple the following Fall, when Dave would return home to Pittsburgh from boarding school (one of their many shared interests and experiences). They have been leaving mischievous footprints in various forms from coast to coast ever since. Didi is a Pittsburgh/Connecticut hybrid with a great hunger to let the truth be known. She is currently working for the front office of the Pittsburgh Pirates. She is overjoyed to be a part of this joyous celebration of Dave and JJ.
  • Lisa Piraino, Groomsman
Lisa first met Dave and JJ in 1999 at Calvary Camp, when JJ was the hot young thing on staff and Dave was an akward 13 year old with a heart of gold. She works as a fundraiser for the American Red Cross in Philadelphia, where she lives with Jason "Slink" Solinsky and dreams of moving home to beautiful Pittsburgh, PA. The grooms have gotten Lisa into trouble in Boston, Conneaut, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York, and Pittsburgh, and she can’t wait to see what they have planned for T. I. Park.
  • Thomas Q. D. Reynolds, Groomsman
What is there to say about Dave's older brother? He, too, is forged by the hands of Chipperoo and Ellen and had the pleasure of playing Dave's primary role model early in life. Known for his piercing good looks, Tom chose to eventually make Maine his home along with his better half, Mika, Dave's preferred sibling. They enjoy The Way Life Should Be with their son Kip and their dogs Wiley and Frannie. They are proud to have set the bar at a high level for TIP weddings and sincerely hope that Dave and JJ's will take the River Celebration to a new elevation!
  • Ryan Schiavo, Groomsman
Ryan and Dave first met in the spring of 2009, when Dave had just returned to Los Angeles. Living with Groosman Pat Cauley at the time, Ryan found himself exposed to Dave, JJ and the revelry they generally bring. Ryan and Dave were fast friends and when Ryan isn't overseeing his department at Herzog, you can find him seeing Skyline (or other poorly produced apocalyptic thrillers), participating in various competitions, fixing Dave's computer, playing with a police horse in New Orleans, or prodding Dave and JJ into another adventure.
  • Michael H. Wolk, Groomsman
Michael and Dave met during Michael's second stint in kindergarten where Dave was a precocious and lively ball of energy and Michael was just hoping he would be let into the first grade for the following year. Besides nearly a decade of schooling together, Michael and Dave have traveled together in North America and abroad, and have spent some excellent summers as campers and as staff at the venerable Sheldon Calvary Camp. When not living a life of leisure in the Bay Area, Michael can be found thinking about technology, law, or a little bit of both. Michael is incredibly excited for the wedding and looks forward to talking about himself in third-person throughout the weekend.
